Through our Eyes

Kentucky Horsewear aims for excellence & innovation and could not do so without a great team.

Based in Ronse, Belgium, our offices count 15 employees who tend to become family from time to time.

Today, we want to introduce you to El Houssine Ayouzi, one of our great warehouser.

Could you introduce yourself?

My name is El Houssine Ayouzi, I’m from Morocco but I moved in Belgium 10 years ago and I’ve been working for Kentucky for three years.

How did the company evolve through the years? What changes can you see?

In the beginning I used to work in a small warehouse and we had a very limited number of articles. Now, we have more than 1.000 articles! It was a lot of changes since I arrived. In the beginning I was also all by myself doing everything in the warehouse. Now I have a great team to work with me. The company is growing up, so is the team!

What do you think about this brand?

It is a luxurious brand! I was not a horse lover myself before I started to work here. Now that I see all the items we can do for them, I start to like it. Maybe one day I will get a horse myself if I buy a house! I never thought before that horses needed so much specific material. But now I understand that horses mean a lot for their owners and that makes me want to have my own too someday!

What do you like the most about your job?

I like the fact that I move constantly. I also like the challenges with the big orders we get. And of course, I love working with our team, as there are so many nice people here. To me it is more interesting to work in a nice place with a nice boss!

How would you describe the atmosphere at Kentucky?

Since we moved to the new building, the atmosphere improved a lot. We are more relaxed because everyone knows what he has to do. Before, we used to be a bit stressed and everyone needed to participate to all tasks. Now it is way better, with a better organization and a nicer place to work.

Do you get along with your colleagues?

I really enjoy working with the team I have now. We work great together! Even with the people in the office: we have most contact by phone but people are really nice to me. This is great to feel welcomed in a company.

What are you passionate about? Could you tell us more about this passion?

I love to do web development. Every night at home I go on my computer to develop some websites and apps. I wouldn’t like to work as a web developer for now, as I wouldn’t like to be in front of a computer all day, I prefer movement. But maybe in the future!

If you could be a horse or a dog, what would you look like and what would be your favorite Kentucky item?

I would prefer to be a horse because people take good care of their horses! Of their dogs too but I would still prefer to be a horse. Horses are nice and strong, they look really powerful. And I think my favorite product would be a Show Rug Navy, as it is a must have!
