Olivier Philippaerts

Olivier Philippaerts is a Belgian professional show jumping rider. A key figure in international show jumping and a member of the renowned Philippaerts equestrian family, he grew up immersed in the sport under the guidance of his father, multiple Olympic competitor Ludo Philippaerts, and alongside his twin brother Nicola.

Olivier first made headlines early in his career when, at just 19, he became the youngest rider in history to win the CN International Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows, one of the sport’s most prestigious events. Since then, he has built a strong international presence with notable results across top-level competitions, including a Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) Grand Prix victory in Stockholm, where he rode H&M Miro to a breakthrough win after years of podium finishes.

Olivier is known for his precision, determination, and calm competitive mindset, forming strong partnerships with his horses and steadily progressing across the global show jumping circuit. His dedication to continuous improvement and his ability to deliver under pressure make him one of Belgium’s standout riders on the world stage.

Classic Navy Leather Training Set – Show Jumping by Olivier Philippaerts

Olivier’s look is ideal for clipped horses and colder or in-between seasons, when temperatures change fast. The 160g riding rug keeps the back and muscles warm during warm-up, breaks, and cool-down for extra comfort.

The Leather Fishbone saddle pad adds a breathable, comfortable layer under the saddle, while the matching Polar Fleece bandages give soft, supportive protection for the legs—finished with the anatomic sheepskin half pad for added cushioning.

Why Olivier Philippaerts is a strong Kentucky ambassador

Kentucky Horsewear works with Olivier Philippaerts and the Philippaerts family because they embody exactly what Kentucky stands for: performance, true horsemanship, and uncompromising quality.

The Philippaerts don’t live show jumping only in the arena, but in the daily reality of the stable—with responsibility, deep horse knowledge, and a sharp eye for detail.
