When attaching the bit to your bridle, you already decide how comfortable and clear your rein aids will feel.
Make sure the bit is positioned correctly: the star must be on the left side and the Velari logo on the right. There should be one to two small wrinkles at the corners of the mouth, and nothing should pinch the lips. Quickly check that no straps are twisted, there are no sharp edges, and the reins are attached to the correct ring – this way you start with more comfort and trust.
